New Light & Shadow sculpture on view at GRAM
A new light & shadow sculpture by Kumi Yamashita, ampoule Origami 25, tuberculosis
is now on view at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. The artwork creates the profiles of 25 local residents in shadow using a single light bulb and 25 sheets of origami paper. It is one of 13 works exhibited in the group show entitled “GRAM Selects” which includes artists Lucia Eames, Timothy Cleary, Sky Pape, Filippo Tagliati and Carol Van Swol Prusa amongst others. Origami 25 will remain on view at GRAM through October 6th, 2013.
